Did you know that the ice cream ”Chunky Monkey” is made with bananas from Asoguabo?
Bananas that are to big, too small or too scratched to be exported become the banana purée Ben & Jerry’s use in their ice cream.
”Chunky Monkey” is sold in supermarkets, in Makuuni video rental shops and in Ben & Jerrys’s own shops in Finland.
Now that I’ve seen where the bananas come from, I regret never tasting the ice cream. It’ll be one of the first things I do when I get back to Finland.
